Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters by Isobel

Percy Jackson is at Merryweather School and is friends with a boy who is not really a boy, but a Cyclops, called Tyson. In gym class they are attacked by the Lastrygonians who are cannibal giants. Annabeth appears and takes Percy back to Camp Halfblood where Thalia's pine tree is dieing because Luke poisoned it, so monsters are able to get into the camp and destroy everything.
Percy, Annabeth and Tyson go on a quest to find the Golden Fleece on Polythemus' island. They face Circe the witch who now owns a spa, and turns Percy into a guinea pig, Charybides, the Sirens and a few other assorted monsters.
I really like this book. It's very funny and because it's set in modern times it's easy to relate to.
I would recommend this book to anybody who likes fantasy stories with a lot of excitement and monsters.

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. Review by Isobel

This book is about a boy called Percy Jackson. It is set in America, but there is a lot about Ancient Greece in there as well. Percy finds out that he is a "half blood"' half human, half god when he accidentally vaporises his pre-algebra teacher, Mrs Dodds! He has to go to live for the summer in Camp Half Blood because there are a lot of monsters that want to kill half bloods. He makes friends with Grover, a Satyr and Annabeth Chase, the daughter of Athena.
This book has lots of gods and monsters in it. It is quite fun to read and whatever you do, don't go into the Lotus Casino, Las Vegas. Enjoy!

A Midsummer Night's Dream graphic novel review by Isobel Jeffries

A Midsummer Night's Dream is set in Ancient Greece and is about four lovers. The first two lovers are Hermia and Lysander. Hermia's father Egeus wants her to marry Demetrius, but Hermia wants to marry Lysander (Lysander is also in love with Hermia). Hermia's friend Helena wants to marry Demetrius but he does not love her. Hermia and Lysander run away into the woods and Helena tells Demetrius. Demetrius follows them pursued by Helena.
In the woods Titania, Queen of the Fairies and Oberon, King of the Goblins, are having a fierce argument over a little changeling boy. Oberon sends Puck, his manservant to fetch a flower that makes people fall madly in love with the first living creature that they see. While Puck runs off to get the flower, Demetrius and Helena enter and Demetrius starts telling Helena to go away. There is lots of chasing and falling in love with the wrong people, and lots of magic. There are some mechanicals who want to put on a play for Duke Theseus' wedding to Hippolyta and Bottom who's very full of himself, has his head turned into a donkey's head by Puck. Titania falls in love with him.
I really liked this book and it's illustrations which are very detailed and I think I would recommend it to people who enjoy a fantasy read.

model under cover stolen with style by Carina Axelsson Review by Freya B 💙

Fashion's most stylish detective!

16 year old Axelle was not going to New York fashion week just to moddel no, she was there to solve crime! It all started when after she'd solved her first mystrey (in Paris fashion week) Miriam her agent called her "Have you heared of the black amila?" I shook my head " well it was being used on a fashion shoot the problem is, it's missing!" So that is the start of the storyline,I have just finished the book and reading the first book (model under cover, a crime of fashion) I think I have done a report on that ( look in the comments )
YOU HAVE TO READ IT!!!!!!!👍👏👏👏

The Grunts All At Sea by Philip Ardagh and Axel Scheffler. Review by Helena

This book is the first series of the grunts (I think). Anyway if you have seen
my other review you will know what i'm talking about...

So this time in the Grunts, Mr Grunt has to deliver a POGI (which means a
person of great inportance). They travel in their little caravan without telling
anyone all ecept themselves. Iv'e not COMPLETLY finished reading it but i'm
nearly done... So I hope if you read this book you will like it and you can read
it twice and stuff like that. It's all very strange so you might not understand it
but you probally will so yeah.
